deh are the racist ones, the ungrateful ones, the ones who continue to oppress blac people.
only Hugo Chavez has sought to make amends, writing into the new constitution rights and protections for blac people.
througout the history of the Americas people of African descent have been stalwart, courageous, steadfast. we undepin the revoluitionary movements, led and won the most brilliant revolutionary struggle, established the first revolutionary state Plamyra in Brasil, that was free and independed for a hundred years before it was defeated.
Palmyra fades in the trail of the brilliance of the haitain revolution but it stads on its own as blac achievemment and positive contribution to the general advance of civilisation in the americas.
without Haitia and its support for revolutionary movements in the Americas Bolivar probably would have failed and there would be no Bolivarian revolution today.
Chavez chose Bolivar to attach his revolution to the whole history of Latin America to legitimise it, to make it concrete and less easy to propagandise by the west, in effort to isolate it as some sort of fly by night movement that will easily pass away, not rooted in anything but Chaves dictatoral impulses and ambitions.
but Bolivar was a racist and a traitor, less courageous than he is made out to be. he left Haiti dangling in the wind to be picked apart by the western powers. and most sinfully he never acknowleded the blac people who fought brilliantly, courageously, and died for latin independence.
at least in the north we know of crispus attucks and those who fought for american freedom.
I do not know of a single African whose name that should be sung in defense of Latin America..... and from all I have read there are many such names that should be sung!
the point is... this is where COUNTREEMAN wants to tawe Guyana jess so..wholly into the embrace of the latins, who for the most part have only contempt for blac people!

well! I gues man have to take deh chances according to how deh feels things actually are. but I doh know dat feelings are the arbiter of anything at all in the end
the fact is that Guyana is a large underpopulated, probably minerally rich landmass that is attractive and apparently up for the taking. the caribbean Islands also have their own very valuable attractions, and attracts takers also!
the question of "whither westindies if not a collective english speaking state, far more capable of defending and developing its interest as opposed to small individual dots?" raises it is head again.
Use it or lose it!
