Have to make the most of it. Gear should be moon boots (with skid plates) good to -100 C and layers of arctic gear (can be expensive so look around).  I can last about 5 to 6 hrs ice fishing at Spray Lakes (about 3300 feet above sea level).  Above the Canadian Nordic Center at Canmore, AB. Out here nothing stops us from 'having fun'. Just came in from the mall, shovelled at 8 inches of snow and another 5-6" on the way. Luckily, it's the soft, fluffy kind not the hard, heavy wet stuff which can give you a heart attack when shovelling. Another six weeks of this crap..... thanks Forbes!!
